KUL featured in global report as important class of institutions operating in the urban knowledge production landscape
The Connected Cities Lab (CCL) at the University of Melbourne in collaboration with University College London (UCL) and the United Nations, has just published a Comparative Review of Urban Observatories around the world. The IBA Karachi is pleased to announce that the Karachi Urban Lab has been featured in these reports as a key player in the urban governance/data production landscape.
The comparative review looks at how 'urban labs' in the global north and south produce/leverage data on cities; how such labs bridge/navigate a complex terrain of data production; especially in terms of deploying novel approaches to data production beyond conventionally defined parameters.
