SMCS and Fast Cables Sign MoA to Promote Educational Excellence and Sustainability in Pakistan

November 26, 2024: IBA-SMCS and Fast Cables signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to promote educational excellence and sustainability in Pakistan. This collaboration introduces the FAST Sustainability Award for Final Year BS Computer Science students at SMCS, addressing core sustainability issues, and the FAST Excellence Award for students with the highest GPA in STEM fields. These awards aim to foster innovation and recognize academic excellence.

The signing ceremony included welcome remarks by Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director, IBA Karachi, and Mr. Kamal Mahmood Amjad Mian, CEO, Fast Cables, who highlighted the partnership's role in addressing sustainability challenges and inspiring academic distinction.

The MoA was signed by Dr. Zaidi and Mr. Mian, with Dr. Shakeel A. Khoja, Dean SMCS, and Mr. Awais Nadeem, RBM South Region Fast Cables, serving as witnesses. This agreement marks a significant milestone in strengthening ties between industry and academia.
