SMCS in collaboration with ORIC organizes a two-day academic writing workshop
June 9-10, 2022: The School of Mathematics and Computer Sciences (SMCS), organized a two-day academic writing workshop in collaboration with the Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization, (ORIC-IBA). More than 40 participants attended the workshop, including MS and PhD Scholars, faculty members and management staff. The attendees were from all three departments: Mathematical Science, Computer Science, and Data Science. The two-day activity aimed to enhance the writing skills of early researchers and MS/PhD scholars and to help them understand the efficient usage of scholarly sources in their research and learn to think critically while reading and writing.
Dean, SMCS, Dr. Shakeel Khoja, in his closing remarks, thanked the resource person, Ms. Maria Hassan Siddiqui, Assistant Professor and Academic Director, Ardeshir Cowasjee Writing Centre, for her services. He also thanked the participants for their attendance and emphasized the scholars to focus on academic writing in their MS and PhD. The workshop concluded with certificates distribution to the participants and the organizers.
