Senior Manager CDC participates in the 9th Deans & Directors Conference 2022

March 14-15, 2022: Mr. Danish Imtiaz, Senior Manager, Career Development Center was invited as a panelist in the 9th Deans & Directors Conference 2022 organized by the National Business Education Accreditation Council – HEC, held recently in Islamabad, Pakistan. The theme of this year’s conference was ‘Increasing the Impact and Relevance of Business Schools in Pakistan’.

There were multiple panel discussions, presentations and workshops organized for the participants from academia and industry. Mr. Imtiaz was part of an esteemed and an experienced panel comprised of the rector, president, and dean of various higher education institutions. The discussion focused on ‘Experiential Learning as a way of promoting relevance’. Panelists discussed experiential learning programs and initiatives undertaken by their respective institutions and how these best practices can be applied by other business schools in Pakistan. Mr. Imtiaz talked about IBA's experiential learning project program and how it has supported organizations through academic consultations. He also shared some success stories of IBA's responsible citizen initiatives (commonly known as social internships) and some lessons learned from company internship experiences.

Dr. Ishrat Husain, Former Dean and Director IBA, and Mr. Hussain Dawood, Chairman Engro Corporation, were the chief guests of the conference. The two-day event provided the participants with a unique opportunity to learn and network collaboratively.
