SBS organized a two-day faculty retreat at Murree

October 20-22, 2022: School of Business Studies (SBS), IBA organized a two-day faculty retreat for SBS faculty at a hotel in Murree. The SBS faculty had a rejuvenating visit to one of the scenic locations of Murree, Pakistan, where they engaged in different activities, followed by interactive sessions.

The event commenced with Dr. Abdullah Zafar Sheikh, Dean SBS, providing an overview of the SBS activities. Next, Dr. Sana Tauseef, Chairperson, Finance Department and Head of the AACSB Review and Execution Committee (AREC), provided updates and progress about the AACSB accreditation. Dr. Talha Salam, Program Director, MBA & MBA Executive, apprised the audience about the MBA and MBA Executive programs.

Dr. Lalarukh Ejaz, Assistant Professor SBS and Dr. Asif Jaffer, Assistant Professor SBS, expounded on the experiential learning project and how it would benefit IBA. Dr. Kamran Mumtaz, Assistant Professor, Department of Management and Director CILET, discussed the updates about the Centre for Innovation in Learning and ED-Transformation (CILET). Dr. Yasir Kundi, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, and Head of Academic Research and Finance Committee (ARFC) briefly mentioned research policies. Dr. Lalarukh Ejaz and Mr. Kamran Bilgrami were also introduced as the new Directors of Center for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) and Centre for Executive Education (CEE), respectively. The closing remarks were given by Dr. Wajid H. Rizvi, Former Dean, SBS.

The event concluded on a high note followed by an excursion to Nathiagali that included sightseeing and trekking.
