PRC organizes a workshop on ‘Reproductive Health Analysis Using DHS Data and Spatial Tools’
August 17, 2023: The Population Research Centre (PRC), School of Economics and Social Sciences (SESS), IBA, hosted a workshop focusing on Reproductive Health Analysis Using DHS Data and Spatial Tools. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Lubna Naz, Associate Professor, SESS and facilitated by Dr. Khadija Bari, Director, PRC, and Dr. Junaid Alam Khan, Director, Talent Hunt Programs.
The workshop covered an array of topics including the understanding of spatial, and vector data, training with QGIS and Geoda, and specific methodologies for analyzing reproductive health variables using DHS data. Attendees were guided through practical exercises in downloading and mapping spatial data, conducting time trend analysis, and applying tests of hypothesis.
This comprehensive one-day event provided students and researchers with the necessary skills and understanding to leverage spatial data in reproductive health research.
