PRC hosts a roundtable discussion on women's autonomy and unintended pregnancy in Pakistan

August 18, 2023: The Population Research Centre (PRC), Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi hosted an insightful roundtable discussion focused on an important topic 'Women's Autonomy and Unintended Pregnancy in Pakistan'.

This project is a part of the distinguished DHS Fellowship 2023 sponsored by USAID. The research team comprises of Dr. Lubna Naz, Associate Professor, School of Economics and Social Sciences (SESS); Dr. Khadija Bari, Director, PRC; and Dr. Junaid Alam Khan, Director, Talent Hunt Programs.

The event commenced with a presentation of the research findings by esteemed researchers and experts. Following the presentation, a small talk and open discussion on the implications of these findings on policies and measures concerning women's healthcare and reproductive rights in Pakistan took place.

Various representatives from the Sindh government and academia also joined the discussion.
