IBA Karachi and PSO partnered to assist talented students in their pursuit of higher education
March 16, 2023: Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi and Pakistan State Oil (PSO) CSR Trust have signed an MoU to assist talented students from underserved areas in pursuing higher education. The IBA selected these students from across Pakistan through its National Talent Hunt Program (IBA-NTHP).
The NTHP Program at IBA is a flagship inclusivity and diversity program that aims to bring forward the best talent from the country. Every year, the NTHP team visits over 119 districts across the country including, Khuzdar, Loralai, Swat, Mardan, Rajanpur in search of talented students to train and educate them.
During a ceremony at PSO's Head Office in Karachi, Ms. Sumeera Manzar, Trustee, PSO CSR Trust, presented a cheque to Ms. Malahat Awan, Director Alumni Affairs, Resource Mobilization, and Corporate Relations IBA for supporting higher education of five undergraduate students. An agreement was also signed by Ms. Manzar and Ms. Awan on behalf of their respective organizations.
Appreciating the PSO CSR, Ms. Awan said, "IBA is grateful to PSO CSR Trust for their continued support in creating opportunities for students from less privileged areas to pursue their educational aspirations. The support enables IBA to increase the ambit of its support and make it more inclusive."
The IBA and PSO CSR Trust are committed to playing their part in creating a meaningful difference in society and helping young people acquire skills to compete and perform in the national and international business arena.
