IBA Karachi and PRCL sign an MoU to bridge the gap between industry and academia
September 08, 2022: The Center of Executive Education (CEE), Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited (PRCL), a public sector company, governed under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce. Under the agreement, IBA-CEE will be offering learning and development opportunities to PRCL employees
The MoU will bridge the gap between industry and academia by offering development opportunities to PRCL employees and its subsidiaries. The scope includes customized training programs, joint collaborations, seminars, and consulting services.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Rameez Khalid, Director CEE, and Mr. Arham Rahim, Head of Human Resources (HR), PRCL. Participants included Mr. Syed Amir, Chief Financial Officer, PRCL; Mr. Muhammad Asif Kamal, Chief Internal Auditor, PRCL; Dr. Qazi Masood, Professor, Department of Economics, IBA, and; Dr. Nyla Aleem Ansari, Assistant Professor, Department of Management and Program Director PGDs, IBA.
Dr. Khalid, on the occasion, stated, "It is good to see CEE at IBA striving towards their vision, enabling individuals and organizations to transform towards business excellence and leadership. We are looking forward to understanding the learning needs of PRCL and hope to develop the best possible solution for their executives, be it in the area of training or overall organizational development."
The CEE has also successfully executed a consulting assignment for PRCL recently. The project focused on "TNA and Training Policy Development," led by Dr. Ansari, under the Operational Excellence Forum of the center.
