IBA Karachi and OGDCL partner to support meritorious students

August 18, 2023: The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, hosted Mr. Zeeshan Zaidi, Manager, External Communications, Oil & Gas Company Limited (OGDCL) at the Main Campus. Mr. Zaidi was welcomed by Ms. Malahat Awan, Director, Alumni Affairs, Resource Mobilization & Corporate Affairs; and Dr. Junaid Alam Khan, Associate Professor & Director, Talent Hunt Programs; and introduced to the OGDCL Talent Hunt scholars who will be joining IBA in the Fall 2023.

OGDCL is a partner of IBA through the Talent Hunt Program and provides financial support for the selection, onboarding, and admissions of students. Demonstrating its commitment to community welfare, OGDCL identifies deserving students from less privileged backgrounds based on merit. These students receive funding for test preparation and IBA admission exams. Students who pass the examination are provided scholarship support throughout their 4 years at the IBA.

With a focus on diversity and inclusion, IBA welcomes students from all backgrounds to join multiple programs and through partnerships like those with OGDCL, IBA can ensure that the students studying are able to enjoy all the facilities for a quality education that are available to students from privileged socio-economic backgrounds.

This year, 16 students have been able to join the Institute through the support of OGDCL. These students are joining programs such as BS Accounting & Finance, BS Computer Sciences, BS Economics, and even more competitive programs including BBA.

The IBA provides need-blind admissions to students and supports over 30% of them with scholarships and financial aid.
