IBA and IMAC host a two-day Mathematika competition

June 22-23, 2024: IBA Karachi in collaboration with the Mathematics and Astronomy Club (IMAC), hosted a vibrant two-day mathematics competition, titled ‘Mathematika’, under the patronage of Associate professor, Department of Mathematical Sciences, SMCS, Dr. Shabana Nisar.

The event witnessed participation from math enthusiasts across Karachi and Hyderabad. About 100 students from diverse institutions, including Karachi Grammar School (KGS), Nixor College, Cedar, Mama Parsi, Beacon House, Agha Khan Higher Secondary School (AKHSS), and others showcased their mathematical skills.

The event commenced with an engaging talk by Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematical Sciences, SMCS, Ahmad Raza. The first prize was awarded to the student delegation from Nixor College, while the delegation from KGS secured the second prize.

The competition was a remarkable success, fostering a spirit of academic excellence and camaraderie among the participants.
