IBA fraternity shines at the first IBA Staff and Faculty Badminton Tournament

December 18-22, 2023: Department of Sports and Community Engagement at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi organized the 1st IBA Staff and Faculty Badminton Tournament 2023 at the Alumni Student Center, Main Campus. The five-day tournament featured exciting badminton singles matches and brought together 21 participants who showcased their skills and sportsmanship.

The closing ceremony was attended by Dr. Lalarukh Ejaz, Director, Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), who presided as the Chief Guest and distributed trophies and shields to the participants. The ceremony witnessed the recognition and felicitation of the top performers in the tournament.

Dr. Sahar Awan, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, SBS, emerged as the winner of the 1st IBA Staff and Faculty Badminton Tournament, showcasing exceptional skills and determination on the court. Nageen Jawaid Shaikh, Visiting Faculty, Department of Social Sciences, SESS, secured the Runner-Up position and Dr. Shabana Nisar, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematical Sciences, SMCS, clinched the 3rd position.

The tournament provided an excellent platform for the staff and faculty to engage in healthy competition, as it not only showcased their athletic prowess but also served as a testament to the Institute's commitment to promoting a culture of physical well-being and sportsmanship among its fraternity.
