IBA-CICT partners with GIZ for a Youth Skills Development Program
The IBA Karachi's Center for Information & Communication Technology (CICT) has partnered with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) for designing and conducting a Youth Skills Development Program. Under this program IBA – CICT will train 500 youth from Sindh. The training will be imparted free of cost while the students will be provided with state-of-the-art facilities to enhance their learning experience.
The primary purpose of this training is to impart workplace-based training using cooperative vocational training approach for demand driven trades such as Information Technology (Computer Graphics Print) and Information Technology (Web Designing and Development).
The project is likely to have a profound impact as it focuses on inculcating among youth the skills which will enable them to start their earning either through job or freelancing. Apart from training, several workshops will also be offered to the students to equip them with the necessary skills.
