IBA CICT organized the Impact Symposium to showcase remarkable projects of its trainees

February 20, 2023: Center for Information and Communication Technology (CICT), IBA organized the Impact Symposium. The event was held to display the remarkable projects designed by the center’s trainees who had previously undergone the Hi-Tech programs at the institution.

The projects centered around various fields of technology, including Big Data Analytics, Cyber Security, Digital Marketing & SEO, and the Internet of Things. The projects were displayed for stakeholders including professionals, academicians, government officials, industry experts and students.

Esteemed guests included Founder, Citizens Foundation and Member on IBA's Board of Governors, Mr. Mushtaq Chhapra; Secretary, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resource Research and Development Board (BBSHRRDB), Riaz Hussain Soomro; Fahad Warsi, IT Engineer / Project Coordinator information and Science Technology Government of Sindh. The IBA was represented by Executive Director, IBA Karachi, Dr. S Akbar Zaidi; Dean SMCS, IBA, Dr. Shakeel Khoja; and Senior Office Coordinator – IBA CICT, Ms. Mahwish Ahmed.

The event started with the showcasing of projects, where the trainees displayed their projects and explained their technical aspects. The projects were interactive and engaged the attendees, who were fascinated by the level of innovation and creativity displayed by the trainees.

Chief Guest, Mr. Chhapra commended the efforts of the trainees and emphasized the importance of the technological development in promoting economic growth and social welfare. He also highlighted the need for institutions like the IBA CICT to continue investing in technology-based education to create a skilled workforce that can contribute to the development of the country.

Mr. Soomro, also appreciated the work of IBA CICT and encouraged the trainees to use their skills to contribute to the development of the province and the country.

Dr. Khoja shared his remarks highlighting that IBA CICT plays a huge role in the importance of technological advancement in Pakistan and its role in shaping the future of the society. He also congratulated the trainees for their remarkable achievements and encouraged them to continue working hard in their respective fields.

The IBA CICT Impact showcase event was a resounding success providing an opportunity for trainees to showcase their skills and creativity, while also demonstrating the importance of technological development in society. The presence of esteemed guests provided motivation and inspiration to the trainees to continue their efforts towards technological advancement.
