IBA CED organizes a guest speaker session on Exploring Social Entrepreneurship
November 4, 2021: Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), IBA organized a guest speaker session on 'Exploring Social Entrepreneurship' at the City Campus. Ms. Fiza Farhan, a leading Global Strategic Development Advisor, and a postgraduate from Warwick Business School was the guest speaker.
Ms. Farhan, also recognized as a global spokesperson on women empowerment shared her experiences and challenges in becoming an entrepreneur. She outlined various strategies that help in growing a startup internationally such as CAGE framework, transfer of skills, contingency plan, working speed, negotiation skills, capital adequacy, and scenario planning.
Moreover, she advised the audience to learn new skills, take small steps, strengthen their networking, and listen to their inner voice. She emphasized that the entrepreneurial journey is continuous and it includes several failures.
Towards the end, the audience engaged in a Q&A session with the speaker. The session concluded with a thank you note and a presentation by Dr. Shahid Qureshi, Program Director CED and Dr. Kamran Mumtaz, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, IBA Karachi.
