IBA-CED holds graduation ceremony for CIE program

September 23, 2022: Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), IBA held a graduation ceremony to commemorate the 11th and 12th graduating batches of its flagship program Certificate in Entrepreneurship (CIE) under EDP at the IBA Main Campus.

Mr. Azad Ahmed, Acting Head, CED, welcomed the audience and shared entrepreneurial stories of the graduating students and the socio-economic impact created by them.

Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director, IBA graced the ceremony, while the chief guests of the evening were Dr. Shahid Qureshi, Rector, GIFT University and Dr. Hasnain Walji, Executive Director, United Global Initiative. Other guests of honor included Mohamed Taki Jaffer, Trustee, Jaffer Family Foundation, United Global Initiative; Mohamed Sadiq Jaffer, Trustee, Jaffer Family Foundation, United Global Initiative; Muslim Raza Rawjani, Trustee, Haydri Benevolent Trust; Ali Asad Hemani, Trustee, Karachi Needy Orphans and Women (KNOW); Mr. M. Mustafa Hemani, Pakistan Representative, The World Federation; Mr. Raza Peer Bahi, CEO, KFC Pakistan and; Imran Azeem, Shell Tameer. The attendees from the IBA faculty included Dr. Kamran Mumtaz, Assistant Professor, Department of Management; Dr. Imran Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Ms. Annie Ahmed, Lecturer, Department of Accounting and Law.

Dr. Qureshi, Lead faculty, EDP briefly shared his experiences and urged the graduating entrepreneurs to learn from the failures and to find the solutions to real problems of the society. The ceremony concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony.

Mr. Ahmed thanked all the guests, participants and CED staff for the successful organization of this ceremony.
