Web Workshop on Methods and Applications of General Relativity
The School of Mathematics and Computer Science is pleased to announce that the Department of Mathematics at IBA Karachi is organizing an online workshop on 'General Relativity at Work: Web Workshop on Methods and Applications of General Relativity'.
The four-day workshop will introduce and train the participants on fundamental techniques and applications of Einstein's General Theory of Relativity. The topics of the workshop range from basic cosmology, cosmological inflation, warp-drive-metrics, black-holes, and their perturbations.
Interested participants can register for the workshop until Friday, March 26, 2021, free-of-cost. The zoom link for the lectures will be provided to the registered participants only.
The participants will get the chance to learn from renowned experts in the field who will be joining us online from across the globe. Following are the speakers of the workshop:
- Viqar Husain: Professor, Department of Mathematics, University of New Brunswick
- Muhammad Junaid: Senior Scientific Officer, National Center for Physics, Islamabad.
- Riccardo Penco: Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Carnegie Mellon University.
- Babar Qureshi: Professor, Department of Mathematical Sciences, IBA, Karachi.
