Dr. Ishrat Husain and SPC Discuss Strategies for Developing the Strategic Plan 2030

August 23, 2024: Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi's Strategic Planning Committee (SPC), chaired by Dr. Rameez Khalid, SPC Chairperson, held a significant meeting with Former Dean & Director IBA, Dr. Ishrat Husain, to seek his expert guidance on the development of the Strategic Plan 2030 (SP-30). The meeting was attended by key members of the SPC, including Dr. Shahid Hussain, Dr. Hilal Anwar Butt, and Dr. Saima Binte Saif, as well as SP Cell's Project Manager, Asghar Azmi, and Project Associate, Raza-Ul-Mustafa.

The discussion centered around the strategic themes identified by the core committee, to align the SP-30 with IBA's vision and mission. Dr. Husain provided invaluable advice, emphasizing the importance of a comprehensive framework that considers external factors, internal strengths and weaknesses, and clear goals. He stressed the need to maintain a strict timeline and ensure that the strategic plan is operationalized effectively through continuous monitoring.
