CEO Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited elaborates the organizational change process

February 15, 2022: The IBA Career Development Center (CDC) in collaboration with Assistant Professor, Dr. Nasir Afghan, organized a guest speaker session as part of its 'Corporate Connect Series'. Mr. Jahangir Piracha, Chief Executive Officer, Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited was invited as a guest speaker to talk on 'Managing the Organizational Change Process'.

Mr. Piracha emphasized the need to develop the right skillset to prepare individuals to compete globally. He also elaborated the innovation and diversity agenda. Mr. Piracha stated that not only gender, but other aspects of diversity are equally important to Engro without compromising on merit. He stated that women should be encouraged to contribute to the economic development of our country and that they should be facilitated by organizations, especially during and after their maternity period, when they have multiple roles to play. He also spoke about work flexibility for employees who need it and shared the impact created by Engro by creating blue-collar jobs for the less privileged, by teaching them the necessary skills and utilizing those skills as part of their business operations. Mr. Piracha also shared some examples and cases from his vast experience of working with multiple organizations.

The session was primarily hosted for an MBA course "Leading the change process'. However, the event was attended by students from other programs as well. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A session.
