Orientation ceremony of Entrepreneurship Development Program (CIE Batch XI)
October 22, 2021: An orientation ceremony for the Center's flagship initiative 'Certificate in Entrepreneurship Program (Batch 11)' was held at the AMAN Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), Main Campus, IBA. The 11th batch of CIE is a joint effort of IBA-CED and JFF-UGI along with KNOW Foundation (Karachi Needy Orphans and Women) and Haydari Benevolent Trust. These organizations have partnered to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Pakistan with a focus on youth and women empowerment. This collaboration encompasses the 3-month Entrepreneurship Development Program, named as Community Youth Development Initiative (CYDI).
The proceedings commenced with the recitation of the holy Quran by Mr. Muhammad Sarwar.
Program Director, IBA-CED, Dr. Muhammad Shahid Qureshi, introduced the program to the participants and highlighted its salient features. Dr. Qureshi also shared the Center's transformational journey of the past 10 years.
Muslim Raza Rajwani, Trustee, Haydari Benevolent Trust and Mr. Ali Asad Hemani, Trustee, KNOW Foundation presented on-going projects by both the trusts. Dr. Kamran Mumtaz, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, IBA highlighted the significance of the program.
75 participants have enrolled in the CIE Batch 11 and the majority are women. The women participants are funded by JFF-UGI, KNOW and Haydari Benevolent Trust.
