CED bids farewell to Program Director, Dr. Shahid Qureshi

May 23, 2022: The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) held a farewell ceremony on in honor of Dr. Shahid Qureshi, Program Director, IBA CED at IBA Main Campus Dr. Qureshi is departing IBA for his new role as Rector at GIFT University, Gujranwala.

The Executive Director IBA, Dr. S Akbar Zaidi and the IBA fraternity including faculty, and staff members attended the event.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the holy Quran. The CED team appreciated the dedication and commitment of Dr. Qureshi, who contributed twelve valuable years to the Center's development through offering entrepreneurship training programs, incubation, and research activities with the aim to foster an entrepreneurial mindset for the betterment of Pakistan.

A presentation was given to the audience spanning the journey of 12 years with colleagues, faculty, participants and the IBA.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Qureshi, thanked every department for their support during his tenure. He stated that he thoroughly enjoyed his career and also introduced the existing team members including, Azad Ahmed, Rao Israr Ahmed, Asghar Azmi, Imran M Khan, Talha, Raza, Ghulam Hasan, Shahid and Misbah. He praised his team's contribution to the center.

Dr. Zaidi applauded and acknowledged the contributions of Dr. Qureshi to the IBA and wished him success in his new role. He said that it would be difficult to find the replacement for Dr. Qureshi.

Faculty members who were part of IBA CED's programs said that Dr. Qureshi will be remembered for his meritorious services. They said that he will always remain a part of CED family and expressed their best wishes for him.

Dr. Zaidi presented a memento to Dr. Shahid Qureshi. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks by the IBA CED team.
