BSCS students explore industry dynamics at Systems Limited

May 08, 2024: The Industrial Liaison Section of the Dean's Office, SMCS, organized an industry visit for Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science students to Systems Limited. The visit aimed to expose students to industry leaders, stimulate discussions on potential projects, and create opportunities for Final Year Projects (FYPs) mentorship.

The visit commenced with welcome sessions by Yasir Merchant, Manager RDI & Academia Linkages; and Naureen Anwar, SVP Systems Limited. They provided a quick overview of the company’s operations, emphasizing its collaborative efforts with IBA.

Following the introductory session, teams from key divisions within Systems Limited, including Emerging Technologies, Digital Consulting, and Country Model Bank (BSS) shared their work. Each team shared insights into their ongoing projects, shedding light on the innovative actions shaping the industry. They presented potential project ideas to students, offering them an opportunity to work on as their FYP and avail mentorship from professionals.

The visit concluded with a networking session, where students interacted with experts, forging connections and gaining valuable insights into the industry. Additionally, they were given a complete tour of Systems Limited facilities, providing them with firsthand exposure to the company's innovative work environment.

The visit proved to be a transformative experience for the students, equipping them with practical insights for their future endeavors.
