Bloomberg Terminal installed at SBS Finance Lab paves the way for expert training

October 13, 2023: The School of Business Studies (SBS), IBA hosted a training session on the Bloomberg terminal in its Finance Lab. This informative session was conducted by the Bloomberg team and attended by faculty members from all three schools including SBS, SESS and SMCS.

This initiative is set apart because SBS is among the selected few business schools in Pakistan with access to the Bloomberg terminal. This invaluable resource is made possible through sponsorship by Habib Bank Limited (HBL), showcasing SBS's strong industry ties and commitment to providing students with premium resources.

The establishment of the Finance Lab by SBS-IBA last year marked a significant milestone. This initiative aims to strengthen collaborations between academia and industry. Notably, the lab's inauguration was honored by the presence of the Honorable Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, Mr. Jameel Ahmad, underlining its strategic importance in the field of financial education.

In addition to its local recognition, SBS-IBA's contributions to the field of finance have gained global relevance. The school is associated with the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), demonstrating its engagement on the international stage.
