AREC hosts AoL Workshop to enhance faculty understanding and improve assessment tools

August 09, 2024: AACSB Review and Execution Committee (AREC), Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, organized a faculty engagement activity to refresh faculty understanding of Assurance of learning (AoL) and develop rubrics and assessment tool for the Fall semester.

Chair of AREC, Dr. Sana Tauseef led the AoL workshop, emphasizing the critical role of AoL in the continuous improvement of the School of Business Studies (IBA-SBS) programs. She shared essential updates on the AoL cycle for the Fall 2024 - Spring 2025 academic year and provided guidelines for developing assessments and rubrics.

Under the guidance of AREC members, faculty members collaborated in groups to create assessment tools and rubrics for the mapped Program Learning Objectives (PLOs) in their respective courses.

Lecturer, Department of Management, Kanza Sohail and Visiting Faculty, Department of Accounting & Law, Zaira Anees arranged a fun engagement activity and introduced an interactive element that further reinforced the faculty's understanding of AoL and other continuous improvement measures.

The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from the IBA-SBS faculty, solidifying their grasp of AoL at the start of the new semester.
