Reunion of MBA Class of 1978 at the IBA Main Campus

The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi hosted a reunion for the MBA Class of 1978 at the IBA Main Campus on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. Those who could attend celebrated and revived the bond of 42 years that they shared with their alma mater. The reunion was attended by Ms. Leila Ahmad, Mr. Aftab Manzoor, Mr. Shams Izhar, Mr. Vaqaruddin, Mr. Azhar Sajjad, Mr. Aftab Shah, Mr. Shaheed Kazi and Mr. Aziz Majid.

The class started off their reunion with a tour that included visiting various facilities around the campus. They were overwhelmed to see the transformation the campus has gone through. The class was delighted to see the new library and that the IBA has an updated e-learning system which provides unlimited access to students.

The class reminisced about their student days at the IBA by recollecting memories of their classrooms. The class then met Dr. Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director, IBA. Dr. Zaidi gave a brief presentation on the institute and the significant progress it has made in the last 42 years; he also presented the way forward envisaged for the institute. The reunion concluded with a light brunch and a group photo.

The alumni play an important role in supporting the IBA. We would like to thank the Class of 1978 for setting up an Endowment Fund in the memory of their late classmate, Mr. Anver Saifi. The Class of '78 and the family and friends of Anver Saifi have generously donated PKR 4 million to the fund and have plans to further increase this fund.
