Dr. Hartmut H. Holzmuller, earned
his Doctorate in and Dozentur (Fourth Level
Academic Degree) from Wirtschafts universitat Wien, Vienna, Austria. He is
interested in consumer and buyer behaviour
research, exporting, culture and marketing,
and marketing research methods. He has
significant consulting experience in several
service sectors, especially insurance,
banking and utilities, as well as high-tech
companies in the communication and
production sector.
Current areas of research interest include
cross-cultural consumer behaviour, export
performance, and high-tech marketing. Most
of his work has been published mainly in
German language (8 books and more than 80
contributions). His papers have been
published in the Journal of the Academy of
Marketing Science, Journal of International
Marketing, Management International Review
and International Business Review.
Message:
It is a great privilege and honor
to be invited as a speaker to this year's
IBAICM conference. I have to applaud the
organizing committee to the format that
allows close interaction between
practitioners and scholars in the field of
marketing. Unfortunately we lack this kind
of conferences in Europe. Considering this
unique opportunity, I plan to give a talk on
"Market Driving", which is a further step in
the development of market orientation of
companies and hopefully stimulating for
managers as well as fellow academics. |

Qashif Effendi has over
19 years international experience of working
at CEO, Director and General Management
positions in top multinationals in the MENA
and South Asia regions. He has worked with
Chevron (formerly Caltex), Philips,
Unilever, Tetley, 180 Degrees (a brand
turnaround consultancy) and currently with
Abu Dhabi National Industrial Projects
company in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
During his career, he has turned around many
ailing brands and taken them to great
heights. Brands like Philips Whirlpool,
Dalda Cooking Oil, Brooke Bond Supreme and
Tetley achieved tremendous growth during his
stewardship. He has also consulted for
various companies such as Adamjee Insurance,
Dollar Stationers, Shan Foods, Liberty Books
and Szabist.
He is an alumni of IBA with a great passion
for learning. He has been a visiting faculty
at IBA, Szabist, CBM, Karachi University and
Newport University for over 13 years
teaching Brand Management, Advertising,
Consumer Behavior and Strategic Marketing.
He contributes regularly to national and
international marketing journals and has
spoken at several conferences and seminars
as an expert in Marketing.
