SMCS Launches Industry Connect Spring'25 Initiative with an Insightful Visit to Folio3 Pakistan

February 20, 2025: IBA-SMCS officially launched the Industry Connect Spring'25 series with an industrial visit to Folio3 Pakistan as part of the SMCS Industry Partner Program. This initiative allowed students to network with Folio3 experts, explore potential Final Year Project (FYP) ideas, and gain insights into the ever-evolving tech landscape.

The visit began with an engaging session by Mr. Ali Rashid, VP of Engineering, Folio3, who highlighted how AI, particularly Generative AI, reshapes traditional coding practices. He introduced the concept of Vertical AI and discussed how its rise is set to revolutionize industries soon. This discussion helped students broaden their perspectives on emerging technologies and future industry trends.

Following this, Mr. Nabeel Farooqui, Senior Software Engineer, Folio3, and his team presented potential FYP project ideas. These research-driven projects focused on solving real-world industry challenges, allowing students to work on impactful solutions.
