SMCS Hosts MS Poster Presentation Showcasing Innovative Projects from MSCS, MSDS, and MS Mathematics Students

January 16, 2025: IBA-SMCS hosted an MS Poster Presentation at the Main Campus. The event featured 28 innovative projects from MS Computer Science and MS Data Science Programs and five projects from MS Mathematics Program, covering key technological domains such as Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing & other technological areas.

Executive Director IBA, Dr. S Akbar Zaidi; Dean SMCS, Dr. Shakeel Khoja; Chairperson Computer Science Department, Dr. Shahid Hussain; Professor and Program Coordinator MS Computer Science and MS Data Science Programs, Dr. Tariq Mahmood, and Assistant Professor and Program Director MS Mathematics, Dr. Danish Ali, graced the event, emphasizing the importance of academia-industry collaboration in driving innovation.

Students had the invaluable opportunity to present their work to Academia & Industry Experts from top organizations, including Systems Limited, Folio3, VentureDive, TPS Pakistan, Assurety Consulting & Solutions, FAST-NUCE, Habib University & others. Prominent attendees at the event included Dr. Faisal Alvi, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, Habib University; Mr. Sohaib-ur-Rehman, Senior Manager, SecDevOps & Performance, TPS Pakistan, and Mr. Fawad Mahdi, Associate Director Data Science, VentureDive.

The session concluded with networking between faculty, academia, and industry experts, where they shared their views on the projects and expressed their interest in enhancing collaborations with IBA.
