Sarah Nizamani, Research Fellow at the Center of Business and Economics Research (CBER), has co-authored a report titled, "Digital Ethics in Times of Crisis: COVID-19 and Access to Education and Learning Spaces" with Berkmen Klein Center at Harvard University. The report explores specific normative questions around the disruption, challenges, and opportunities that the COVID-19 pandemic represents in the realm of education and maps relevant issues and corresponding questions that policymakers around the globe need to address to harness the benefits of digital technologies while avoiding some of the possible downsides during the current crisis

Recipient of 2020 BKC Research Sprint at the Berkman Klein Center, Harvard University

Out of 40 people selected globally, Sarah Nizamani, Research Fellow at IBA Karachi, is one of the two Pakistani women selected for the Sprint. The research Sprint will focus on aspects of ethics, human rights, and social impact regarding digital transformation with focus on education and learning at a moment of unprecedented crisis. The goal of the Research Sprint is to produce a map of the relevant issues and corresponding questions that policy-makers around the globe need to address in order to harness the benefits of digital tech while avoiding some of the possible downsides during the current crisis.
