Recognizing Women Leaders in Islamic Finance

May 18, 2026: IBA hosted the Women in Islamic Finance Networking & Recognition Event 2026, bringing together prominent women professionals and industry leaders from across Pakistan’s Islamic finance sector.

A key highlight of the event was the recognition of 21 women professionals from 16 financial institutions as the Most Promising Women in Islamic Finance in Pakistan. The event featured Dr. Ishrat Husain as Chief Guest and Ghulam Muhammad Abbasi, Executive Director, State Bank of Pakistan, as Guest of Honour, alongside a panel discussion featuring Rukhsana Narejo, Iffat Nigar, and Khalid Zaman Khan, moderated by Dr. Irum Saba, focusing on leadership, mentorship, inclusion, and the evolving role of women in the financial industry, organized by the Center for Excellence in Islamic Finance (CEIF) in collaboration with the Women Leadership Forum (WLF).

The event concluded with an engaging networking session, while J. Fragrances & Cosmetics supported the event through appreciation gifts for the Chief Guest and award recipients.
