IBA hosts AACSB Mentor, Dr. Mohamed Madi

28-29 August 2023: The School of Business Studies (SBS), Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi welcomed Dr. Mohamed Madi, AACSB Mentor for a two-day visit.

During his visit, he held meetings with Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director, IBA; Dr. Abdullah Zafar Sheikh, Dean, SBS; Accreditation Committee lead by Dr. Sana Tauseef, Chairpersons and Program Directors. He was appraised of the progress the school has made towards the accreditation and the status of continuous improvement. Dr. Madi commended the IBA-SBS on its commitment and the processes in place to align with the AACSB principles. He provided his valuable feedback and guidance for preparation of the second progress report.

Dr. Abdullah Zafar Sheikh and the accreditation committee expressed their gratitude to Dr. Madi for visiting the school and reviewing the progress with his constructive input.

AACSB is considered the gold standard of Accreditation and is a hallmark of highest quality for business education. The Initial Self Evaluation Report (iSER) of the school was accepted by AACSB in 2021, and the first progress report was accepted in 2022. The school is now optimistic that with the valuable mentorship of Dr. Madi, it will be able to achieve the coveted AACSB accreditation soon.
