Guest Speaker Session Ahmed Ayub from Conrad Labs Delivers Insights on AI and Future Careers

February 16, 2026: The School of Mathematics & Computer Science (SMCS) at IBA Karachi hosted Ahmed Ayub, Chief Strategy Officer at Conrad Labs, for a guest session titled “What the Future Holds for Students in the Age of AI.” Organized as part of SMCS’s commitment to bridging academia and industry, the session focused on preparing students for a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Mr. Ayub discussed how artificial intelligence is transforming industries, redefining skills, and creating new opportunities. He highlighted the importance of system-level thinking, problem-solving, and building AI-driven solutions, along with emerging areas such as large language models (LLMs), AI agents, and productivity-enhancing tools. He also emphasized ethical AI practices, information security, and responsible innovation.

Students were encouraged to stay updated on global technology trends and continuously develop their skills to remain competitive. The session offered practical insights into AI career pathways and reinforced SMCS’s mission to develop future-ready, innovative, and ethical graduates.

Following the session, Mr. Ayub met with Dr. Shakeel A. Khoja, Dean SMCS, to discuss strengthening academia-industry collaboration.
