Things they don't teach in Business Schools

January 24, 2019: The IBA Marketing Club (IMC) organized a guest speaker session on "Things they don't teach in Business Schools" at the G&T Auditorium, main campus. The session was conducted by IBA alumnus, Class of 1981, Mr. Zafar Siddiqui who has over 27 years of experience with the FMCG sector in the fields of sales, marketing and general management. He was associated with Gillette for 15 years in Pakistan and was its Business Director in Russia for six years. Furthermore, he has over 27 years of teaching experience at universities in Pakistan and abroad.

In the session, he said that in today's age of disruption, leaders must have the right moral compass and courage to fulfill their dreams. Mr. Siddiqui highlighted some practical insights which he acquired in his professional life. He talked about the tips and tricks which are not taught in business schools, but are essential for prosperity in the practical world. Through practical examples, he enlightened the audience about how strategic clarity in thinking can help achieve success in the corporate world.

The insightful session culminated with a Q&A session in which the students interacted with Mr. Siddiqui.
