IBA faculty participates in the Planetary Security Conference at the Hague

February 19, 2019: IBA faculty Dr. Gulnaz Anjum, Department of Social Sciences & Liberal Arts participated in the panel 'Urbanisation and Climate Security' at the Planetary Security Conference held at The Hague, Netherlands. The panel presented a trans-disciplinary research that was shared by researchers from Africa, Asia, Middle East and the UK. Representing Asia, Dr. Anjum and other panellists will be writing a policy brief based on research and practice in Central American, African, Middle Eastern and Asian cities, which demonstrates the exacerbated impacts of climate change, urban climate security risks, and the need to integrate climate security into urban peace-building agendas.
