Aga Khan community children attend Information Session at IBA City Campus
February 8, 2020: For the first time, the IBA marketing team conducted an information session for college and A-Level students from the Ismaili community. Students from the jurisdiction of Garden and Karimabad visited the IBA city campus to know more about the institute and student life at university level. More than 80 students and a few counsellors from the community were in attendance for this session. A brief welcome speech was delivered by Ms. Rozina Ali before the session began, outlining the purpose of this visit to IBA as well reiterating to those in attendance about the value of higher education and the encouragement received from the Ismaili community for this purpose. During the hour-and-a-half information session, the students and their elders were given a thorough briefing on the six undergraduate programs on offer at the IBA. Each program was explained at length, and an employability trend analysis for each degree was shared afterwards. Employment opportunities after graduation, financial assistance, admission eligibility and facilities at IBA were also discussed in greater depth during the session too. While the majority of the students had queries regarding financial assistance, there were also some that had confusions on applying for higher education after completing their undergraduate studies and entrepreneurship support from IBA. Each query was addressed appropriately, much to the satisfaction of those in attendance.
