Hoisting the Flag of Sovereignty

14th August - Independence Day

14th August, Independence Day of our resilient country is a day that is widely celebrated nationwide. As a nation, we mark and celebrate this significant, historical day every year, while appreciating efforts of our national heroes. This Independence Day, IBA will exhibit its patriotism through demonstrations of activities in the best possible manner. A large number of IBA faculty, students, staff, international students and alumni will gather for the happy occasion at IBA, Main Campus. As per our annual practice, the Flag Hoisting & Dua Ceremony will be held at 9:00 AM on Monday, 14th August 2017. Faculty, staff members, students and overseas participants of the IESS (International Entrepreneurship Summer School) Program will assemble on the patio for the ceremony. We will all stand together in solidarity, listen to patriotic songs and carry out the flag hoisting ceremony in front of the Fauji Foundation Building, while singing the National Anthem with utmost respect, devotion and patriotism.

Both IBA campuses will remain closed, and the Acting Dean and Director IBA, Dr. Mohammed Nishat will raise the National Flag and participate in the Dua-e-Khair, in presence of the BoG members. We end with a quote from the Quaid-e-Azam, hoping to gain inspiration from his golden words:

"With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve."
